Unfortunately most of us were left out of the meeting that decided whether we would join in the new Todd Mission water system. I was one of those people. At that meeting it was determined that only those of us residing in Todd Mission would join. The rest of us in Mill Creek Estates were left out and left with the antiquated water system that is corroding our water fixtures and preventing us having fire hydrants.

I was told by the President of the water company board that “we” opted out of the new system because we don’t like George Colom – the deceased and former Mayor of Todd Mission. Ridiculous! That same Board President told me over a year ago that our existing water system would be improved and we would have the same benefits as being in the new system. That hasn’t happened and not surprisingly because there is NO money for improvement. The old system barely has money for maintenance. And according to Flowatch, money is the reason we have to send a check every month instead of paying online. The President says it’s too expensive. Again, ridiculous. When I owned a web design and development company, my clients paid online and it cost very little. And if the President thinks it’s too expensive and we can’t absorb that cost, a surcharge can be added to the bill.
